Postscript

Fantastic experience of my 1st composing workshop with Stefan Bernheimer!

We’re assigned a 4-min-scene of Sarajevo—one of the award-winning films that Stefan has composed.

The movie is about the 1914 assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, which sparked off WW. And this is the scene when the judge, Leo Pfeffer, was told Archduke Ferdinand and his wife died from the 2nd attack during his interrogation with the murder. That’s also the first time he met the heroine, Marija Jeftanovic.

So, a lot of emotions going on those storylines: thorny, shocked, speechless but need to act. Mourning, sensitive moment, and lonely to fight.

We had only one night to create music then presented in class.

Quite intense but learned a lot! Especially when you didn’t close your eyes till dawn then be stunned by different interpretations of your talented colleagues—various approaches to achieve similar feelings, and they all work 😊

Great thanks to Stefan for sharing all the on-site experiences selflessly, many thanks to my dear Manuel, Richard, Ingo and our director Miguel—I'm really spoiled. Thank you for reading and listening, any comment is welcome:)

That week snowed heavily, but the journey of being closer to film seems to begin.

如果一點時間壓力能催促你起心動性,這何嘗不是一種創作路徑?

讓喜歡成真,真的只是去做而已。
